Behind every unforgettable wedding at Braxted Park Estate is a team devoted to making sure every detail reflects you and your unique love story. Our events team is there from the moment couples arrive until the final song of the evening, ensuring the day flows seamlessly, calmly, and with a touch of Braxted magic.

The team are the quiet confidence behind the breathtaking moments: setting up those personal touches that make each celebration unique, keeping the atmosphere serene and joyful, and making sure couples feel supported at every step. For couples, the events team is both a safety net and a source of excitement, they offer the calm reassurance that allows them to relax and truly enjoy the joy of their day.

This month, we’re delighted to introduce you to three of our wonderful events team members: Kirsty, Abbie, and Jodie.

Meet Kirsty Meldrum

Senior Front of House Manager

For the past four and a half years, Kirsty has been at the heart of wedding days at Braxted Park Estate. Her role is to ensure everything runs smoothly from morning preparations to the last dance, and she treasures those moments of excitement at the start of each day.

Kirsty loves the personal touches couples bring with them on the morning of their wedding. “Seeing everything come together and laid out just how they imagined is such a lovely part of the job” she says. And when asked about her favourite space in the estate, her answer is immediate: the Confetti Boardwalk. “It’s this hidden little spot that always takes guests by surprise. Everyone’s cheering, there’s confetti everywhere, it’s just pure joy.”

An autumn wedding is Kirsty’s favourite, with the rich colours of the estate providing a breathtaking backdrop. Above all, she prides herself on being a calm, reassuring presence. “I want couples to feel like they can fully relax and enjoy every moment knowing everything’s in hand.”

Abbie Goodchild

Front of House Manager

With five years of experience at Braxted Park Estate, Abbie is now a familiar and much-loved face for many of our couples. As Front of House Coordinator, she looks after the couple throughout their wedding day, and for her, the most memorable moments often come during the speeches.

Abbie believes the estate’s magic lies in its versatility. “It’s the mix of beautiful spaces and the love and care we put into every wedding. No two days are ever the same, and that’s what makes it so special.” She also has a clear favourite spot: the sweeping driveway as you can get some truly incredible pictures there.

Of course, not every wedding day is without surprises. Abbie fondly recalls a groom arriving on a camel – “the guests absolutely loved it, and it brought such a joyful energy to the day.” Recently, she’s also loved seeing couples bring fun, creative favours like tambourines, sunglasses, or miniature bottles “it adds so much personality.”

When she isn’t looking after couples, Abbie is happiest spending time with her family and children. “They keep me busy, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
