It’s safe to say this year has been a very strange one here at Braxted Park, as well as for many of our couples due to be married here in our country house wedding venue. While no one knows what the next few months may bring, we want to reassure couples that it is still possible to enjoy the very best day of your life here at Braxted Park with your friends and family, in a COVID-19 secure way.
INTIMATE WEDDINGS
Many people know Braxted Park for our large weddings of up to 350 people, but we also have smaller spaces available, perfect for intimate weddings. The current guidance allows weddings for up to 15 people so why not celebrate with your loved ones in our Orangery followed by a delicious Wedding Breakfast created by the Braxted Park team.
Afterwards, explore our 500 acres of parklands and gardens with your guests, the perfect backdrop for your wedding photos.
We even have accommodation available on site in our en-suite Stable Bedrooms and Garden Cottage, so why not spend your wedding weekend with us here at Braxted Park?
Just because your guests can’t be with you in person on your wedding day it doesn’t mean they have to miss out on the celebrations. Our team can work with you to set up a live stream of your wedding day so your friends and family can witness you saying “I do” from the comfort of their home.
You could even create Wedding Breakfast hampers to send out to your guests so they can enjoy the celebrations in full.
DRIVE-IN WEDDING
Earlier this month we hosted our first ever Drive-In Wedding here at Braxted Park for bride and groom Roma and Vinal. While the happy couple tied the knot in our Orangery, 250 guests watched from their cars via a screen in our 500-acre Essex estate.
Another 300 guests from all over the world also watched the live footage of the couple saying their vows at Braxted Park via video link.
After the ceremony, bride Roma groom Vinal toured the grounds in a golf buggy, waving as parked-up friends and family honked their horns so everyone could see them in person, from the safety of their cars.
Guests were welcomed to the unique event with a hamper containing tasty snacks and food was served to their cars via Segway.
“Both of us had the most amazing day and we have since had so many calls and messages from guests saying how much they enjoyed the experience and felt part of it. It literally meant everything to us to have everyone there, albeit in a slightly different way to the one we envisaged. It's a day we'll never forget.”
