Amy and Joe’s Fun-Filled Summer Celebration

Weddings - 23.04.19

With a vibrant, glamorous colour scheme, great food and fabulous entertainment, the summer wedding of Amy and Joe was a sheer delight.

The Venue

Dreaming of a fun-filled wedding in the sunshine, Amy and Joe were on the lookout for the perfect wedding venue in Essex. As they arrived at Braxted Park, they knew they had found the place.

“The view from the gates is unbelievable. You feel like you’re away from everyone and everything!”

Setting a June wedding date, an elegant shade of coral was chosen as the main colour, with hints of gold to add a little sparkle. Simple, personalised details included delicate favour boxes with truffles and Lego superheroes for the page boy buttonholes!

Sequin table runners added that touch of glamour to the Pavilion while giant wine glasses made excellent vases.

After visiting a number of bridal boutiques, Amy ended up choosing the first dress she tried on. Her stunning fishtail gown was embellished with lace and sparkle.

Continuing the look, the beautiful bride accessorised with a cathedral length veil and shoes by Harriet Wilde with a bespoke design in coral and gold on the heel.

“I knew it would be the one and couldn’t stop thinking about it!”

Joe looked the part in grey pin-striped trousers, a pale grey waistcoat and charcoal grey jacket with tan shoes and a gold tie.

Meanwhile, Amy’s three bridesmaids were stunning in coral chiffon full-length gowns with gold jewellery and gold shoes.

Romantic roses were the flower of choice, with single stems hanging from the aisle seats in the ceremony. Beautiful centrepieces adorned the tables and fresh flowers were also featured on and around the wedding cake.

Following their ceremony, drinks and canapés were served around the fountain, making the most of a glorious summers afternoon in the gardens while a magician entertained the newlyweds and their guests.

Moving in to dine, parma ham with goats cheese whip was served to start, followed by honey and lemon roasted chicken. For dessert, a trio of chocolate truffle brownie, raspberry ripple cheesecake and banoffee pie shot was a treat for the taste buds.

“I organised two singing waiters as a surprise for the day. By the end of their song, all our guests were dancing, laughing and having an amazing time!”

As day turned to evening, a delicious buffet was served and Amy and Joe danced their first dance to ‘This is Why I Love You’ by Major. “We love this song and thought it was the perfect first dance song.”

Creating their own playlist, the dancefloor filled and the newly married couple and their guests danced into the night.
